FInal Comp 4 James and The Giant Peach

One day there was a boy named James Henry Trotter. He had a wonderful life, he loved to play with the other kids, go swimming, running, and lot of stuff. But when he was four years old his parent went to London. James’s parents died because the rhino from the zoo in London ran away and ate his parent. Since then he had to live with his aunts, Aunt Spike and Aunt Sponge. They lived in a house on the top of the hill. They were both terrible people. Aunt Spike was really skinny and really ugly. She’s very tall and mean to children. Aunt Sponge was really fat and still very ugly. She’s was short compared to Aunt Spike and really hated kids. After James moved in, he was not allowed to go play outside with other kids and Aunt Spike and Aunt Sponge always forced James to work, such as cleaning the dishes, chopping woods, and others.
One day, in a afternoon, James saw an old man when he was cutting some woods for Aunt Spike and Aunt Sponge. That old man was carrying a small bag. He showed James what is inside the bag. James saw little green beans that were moving real slow. The old man told James that those beans  were magical beans and could turn him into happy life.   James ran to the house happily carrying the beans. Unfortunately he fell down, and the beans were all over the place. He tried to catch and pick up the beans back, but it soaked to the ground right under an old peach tree. He was so sad, he cried because his chance to turned his life was gone. Suddenly the peach tree produced a peach. It was a huge peach. It kept growing and growing until it was  as big as a small house. Aunt Spiker and Aunt Sponge were extremely suprised.
After a couple of days James sneaked out of the house at night and went to the peach. He saw there was a hole on the peach, it was a tunnel. So he climbed through the tunnel and arrived in the center of the peach. He saw a centipede, an earthworm, a grasshopper, a spider, a silkworm and a glow worm. They were as big as regular human adults. It was because they ate the magical beans, and the roots of the peach tree touched the magical beans.
So James made new friends, they talked about centipede’s feet and boots and had arguments. Then they all went to bed. Ms. Spider made all beds with her webs. they turned out the light which was made by the glow worm. The next day, James woked up, he heard all the insects screaming and shouting. James was confused. He asked Ladybug “What is going on?” and Ladybug answered “ The peach is rolling down!” Now James knew that, the peach was rolling down from the hill.
the peach was keeping rolling. Aunt Spike and Aunt Sponge looked at the giant peach, it rolled and squashed aunt Spike and aunt Sponge until they were flat! Then the peach started to destroy everything in its path. When it got to a town, it crashed a building which full of chocolate, it smashed trough the farm and animals. It rolled to a high cliff and fell to the sea. There was a giant crash when the peach landed on the blue ocean. After that it floated and sailed. However the insects starved. So James suggested to eat the peach. The insects took a bite. The peach was delicious, crunchy and sweet. After a few moments, they were in the middle of nowhere, stranded in the ocean.
After that there were a bunch of sharks coming right at them, then come another group of sharks, and another. Soon the peach was surrounded by sharks everywhere. The insects got panic except James. James had a brilliant idea. He asked Ms. Spider and Silkworm to make long and many strings as they could. The earthworm would be the bait. James’s idea was the earthworm could be the bait for the seagulls, and when the seagulls came, James could tie the seagulls with the strings that Ms. Spider and Silk worm made. They did this trick for hundred time. They got 502 Seagulls!!!
Time went by, and it was night time. They keep flying on the sky, when they saw cloud men. Centipede started to mock them in a hard voice and they started to throw hailstones at the peach! So they all protected themselves and it was over. There was no sound of the hailstones. So they managed to ran away. The morning came by and they saw cloud men again. They were making rainbows, and tried to lower it down so the whole world could see. But it crashed to the peach and it broke and fell to the ocean. So still the cloudmens started to throw things they got to them. They succeeded to escape.
After that they saw New York high skycrapers. Every person in New York stared at the peach. They tought it was a bomb, a very large bomb! So they sent the airforce to check. James asked Centipede to cut every strings. But a plane accidently cut the all. So the peach fell to the ground and fell right to the Empire State Building. Everybody was shocked. Even some of them fainted. James and the others came out, and saw firemen and the polices. James introduced every insect. The peach was brought down and it became a monument in New York. The insects and James had a happy life.
About the Author: Roald Dahl. Roald Dahl was born in 1916 in England. He went to military and joined the airforce. After that he started to write books for adults. At 1960 he started making books for kids. He died at 1990. He was known as a great author for children books. He had a foundation for people that need help. He donated a lot of money for the UK hospitals and individual children and families.
For me, the book was really interesting and had a lot of action. It was really cool how they could fly with the peach onto the sky and could land in New York. James and the insects got into a lot of trouble but they made it. But it was a little bit to imaginative, like cloudmen. But overall the book was great, and I suggested to read this book.
